St. Hildegard of Bingen, one of the four women doctors of the church, uniquely encountered God through the natural world and creative expression. Join us as we explore her profound spirituality, beautiful writings, music, and images. This session will inspire and guide you through an expressive arts process—featuring Hildegard’s music, gentle movement, and visual art-making—that will nurture your spiritual awareness and connection. No artistic talent is required, and all art supplies will be provided.
Expressive art is an intermodal art process that is not about creating a “work” of art. It is all about the process. No artistic ability is required. Expressive art is a process of discovery, inner awareness and wisdom through creativity. Expressive art with the intention of prayer, becomes a co-creative encounter. You will come away exploring your creative self and witnessing for others with a visible tangible prayer experience.
