As we journey through the season of Lent, you are invited to join us at San Pedro for a weekend of reflection and spiritual growth. During the Life In The Eucharist Retreat, led by Reverend George Dunne, SSS, a Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament priest and his Life In The Eucharist team you will engage in Lenten practices such as prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, which will deepen your connection to the Eucharist and enhance your preparation for Easter. We will pray before Jesus present in the Eucharist, fast from our worldly distractions, and serve one another through our presence and sharing. This retreat will help you to experience the Eucharist more profoundly and reflect on Christ's sacrifice and resurrection.
Over the weekend, five specific topics break open the richness of the Eucharist as Celebration, Contemplation, and Communion. This approach offers a comprehensive view of the Eucharistic mystery as you discover Eucharist as Nourishment, Reconciliation, Transformation, Abiding Presence, and Mission. The discussions, teachings, and witnesses that are shared during the weekend are presented by Fr. George Dunne, SSS and the lay team members.
In this special Jubilee Year, "Pilgrims of Hope," we invite you to embark on a spiritual journey that deepens your understanding of the Eucharist. This retreat will provide an opportunity to focus on the transformative power of the Eucharist, which is central to the Lenten journey of growing closer to God and preparing for the celebration of Christ's resurrection which gives us our hope.
The weekend will include time for quiet reflection in the beautiful natural environment of San Pedro Center, all materials, and meals during the program.
