You are invited to join us for our annual Lenten Retreat at San Pedro Center during this Jubilee Holy Year of Pilgrims of Hope. The weekend will be led by Reverend George Dunne, SSS, and his Life In The Eucharist team who have presented together for over ten years throughout the Diocese of Orlando and beyond.
As a participant, you will experience a journey of deep reflection on the Eucharistic mystery. We will explore the richness of the Eucharist as Nourishment, Reconciliation, Transformation, Abiding Presence, and Mission through thought-provoking teachings, witnesses, discussions, quiet time, adoration, and the celebration of Mass.
Over the weekend, we will engage in Lenten practices such as prayer, fasting, and almsgiving; quiet prayer time, fasting from worldly distractions, and serving one another through our presence and sharing. This retreat will help you to experience the Eucharist more profoundly and reflect on Christ's sacrifice and resurrection.
In this special Jubilee Holy Year Pilgrims of Hope, we invite you to embark on a spiritual journey that deepens your understanding of the Eucharist. This retreat will provide an opportunity to focus on the transformative power of the Eucharist, which is central to the Lenten journey of growing closer to God and preparing for the celebration of Christ's resurrection which gives us hope.
The weekend will include time for quiet reflection in the beautiful natural environment of San Pedro Center, all materials, and meals during the program.

Fr. George Dunne is a member of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, a religious order founded in Paris, France, in 1856 by St. Peter Julian Eymard. The mission of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament is to place the Celebration of the Eucharist at the center of the life of the faithful and internalized in a prayer of adoration and contemplation. Fr. Dunne is from Dublin, Ireland where he was ordained a priest in 1982. After his Ordination he was appointed Vocations Director for the Region of Britain and Ireland and in 1984 became the Director of the Student community of the Blessed Sacrament at All Hallows College, Dublin.
In 1990 he was elected Provincial Superior of the Province of Britain and Ireland and occupied that position until 2002. For the next 20 years he served as Parochial Vicar of St. Stephen Parish in Winter Springs, Florida and during that time developed the Life in the Eucharist program for both Teens and Adults. Presently he is working in the Diocese of Orlando promoting Eucharistic programs and assisting at San Pedro Spiritual Development Center and area parishes.
