St. John Henry Newman
with Fr. Anthony Aarons
This Senior Day, learn more about the recently-canonized St. John Henry Newman. This saint lived half of his life as an Anglican before converting to Catholicism, becoming a priest in 1847 and founding the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in England. He was particularly dedicated to education, founding two schools for boys and the Catholic University of Ireland. His book, The Idea of a University became a foundational text on Catholic higher education. He was a prolific author and letter writer, with 40 books and over 20,000 letters. Join us as Fr. Anthony Aarons shares what this saint can teach us today!
Coffee and danish are served at 9:00 am. The program begins at 9:30 am followed by lunch. Mass ends the day!
Fr. Anthony Aarons, is a Missionary of Mercy appointed by Pope Francis and his ministry at San Pedro Spiritual Development Center includes giving retreats, parish missions and spiritual direction.
