The Visitation Revisited
In Haste…Mary Went, She Met, and She Blest
Each March 25th, we celebrate the feast of the Annunciation, and we thank Mary for saying ‘yes’ to God’s invitation to become the Mother of the Savior. But what happened after Angel Gabriel left her?
We know from Scripture that Mary wasted no time at all going to see her older cousin Elizabeth who was also pregnant. In fact, we know Mary went ‘in haste’, and she went with excitement, and joy, and a deep desire to share companionship with her cousin whom she could also help.
The story of their visit is tender and heartwarming, yet full of lessons for us today:
Mary went…where are we called and sent to help others?
Mary met…to whom do we joyfully share the good news?
Mary blest…what words are on our lips that reach God’s ears?
On Saturday, March 4, let’s revisit the Visitation together.
Please register below so we know how many to plan for.
Donations can be made at the event.
Thank you!
