Incarnational Spirituality
with Diane Gallagher
Do you ever feel like your body and mind are not in step?
As a busy, modern culture, we often live in our heads and can ignore the fact that we also inhabit “temples of the holy spirit”; our bodies. What does it mean to be a human child of God, inhabiting a body that may be healthy or broken, embracing our call to be the Body of Christ?
Jesus’ hope “that all may be one” can apply not only to the unity of humankind, but to the wholeness and unity of the human person. Come and explore gentle methods to connect more deeply with the physical self and in so doing bring integration and “oneness” to the body, mind, and spirit.
Diane Gallagher has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and discovered her own incarnational spirituality during the intense practical classes while training to become a yoga teacher. She is a certified spiritual director with a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans. She is currently the coordinator of spiritual formation at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Diane is married, with three children. She has one grandchild from whom she learns a lot about living incarnationally!
