Exploring Prayers of Different Faiths with Dr. Isabel Fernandez, Ph.D.
As Christians, we pray to God as “Our Father.” How does this differ in the prayers of other religions? This Senior Day will explore the prayers of different faiths and how they can impact our own Catholic faith journey.
Dr. Isabel Fernandez is the Director of Mission Effectiveness for the Office of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Orlando. She is responsible for oversight of Catholic identity, campus ministry, religion curriculum and the professional development of faculty and catechists in matters of religion and faith formation. For 15 years, she has been involved in various aspects of catechetical formation of children and adults as a Director of Faith Formation for and a facilitator for catechist formation.
Dr. Fernandez is an adjunct professor for Saint Leo University, where she teaches courses on World Religions, and Loyola New Orleans; she graduated from the University of Dayton in Ohio (PhD. In Theology) and Florida State University (M.A. in Religious Studies). She lives in East Orlando with her family and awesome dogs.
Coffee and danish are served at 9:00 am. The program begins at 9:30 am followed by lunch. Mass ends the day!
